American Airlines FUTURE: Brand New Flagship Business Andrea Pellegrino [yU0z0ZIqESU]

Today I'm flying the brand new American Airlines Flagship Business Suite on the 787-9 Dreamliner (aircraft code 78P), from London Heathrow to Philadelphia. Will this new suite with its special lighting features, closing door and other little bells & whistles launch AA into a new premium era? Or will it be vaguely disappointing as so many of AA's premium-leaning efforts have villarreal sville been in recent years? We'll get into the seat, the food, the service and more to explore that question.

How I booked it:

I used American Airlines miles to book this as a Hamburg-London-Philadelphia one way for 57,500 miles + $192.91.

Pro tip: keep in mind that adding a European connection to an AA transatlantic flight award can actually bring the miles cost down! Also if I had originated in London on this ticket the taxes would have been higher due to the hefty premium cabin departure charge on flights leaving the UK.
